Studiomaster 16-4-2 Mixing Desk - and Link to Manual (Scan)

Just a picture of my former mixing desk for live usage. Excellent help have been the parametric Mid's for many stage performing supports.

I have found out that many owners of this desk are desperately looking for the original manual. So here it is:

Update on the MIDI Sampler Side

Good news: As an Extension of my existing Casio FZ-1 Sampler I have identified the FZ-10M and FZ-20M as perfect add on's - especially because the Rack Version will allow quick Data and Sample transfer. Basically all units are supporting floppy disks but the rack version can be modified to support other drives as well. Maybe I can utilize my old ZIP-Drive to save all the Disk-Samples.

New Vocal Mic

By chance I have bought for just some €'s a large-diaphragm condenser microphone from Behringer.

No I am not an endorser but the price-value-rate seems to be fair for most of the products.

Behringer Xenyx 2442 USB

Beside PC and Audio Converter this mixer is key in my studio. Just a quick overview about the features:

Behringer Xenyx 2442 USB - 24-Kanal 4/2-Bus Premium Mixing Desk with XENYX Mic Preamps, British EQs, 24-Bit Multi-Effectsprocessor and USB/Audio Interface.

For me this is the perfect compromise of functionality and space consumption.

Next Level Audio Recording Interface

What I didn't like about the Behringer Xenyx Mixing Desk is the very limited USB Interface. Therefore I decided to upgrade to an Interface with integrated MIDI and S/PDIF Interfaces. Decision was made for Behringer again choosing a Behringer B-Control Audio BCA 2000 USB Audiointerface. For installation was no time over the last weeks but now it will be more easy to integrate my MIDI equipment - as well as synchronizing with S/PDIF Units.

Basic Studio components have arrived

At least my former music collegagues convinced me to setup a mobile recording studio - triggered by a former record fo us to be selled at eBay: KRAUT - LP Golem - COSMIC PSYCH PROG MEGA MONSTER !!! Basic components are a Behringer Xenyx 2442 Mixing Desk with generic USB Interface plus my IBM T43 Notebook running KRISTAL and AUDACITY.

Next step is the integration of Behringer ULTRABASS, Alesis Compressor and Limiter, DIGITTECH DSP128 on the effect side.

MIDI Support will be delivered by Yamaha TG-100 and for Drums by Alesis HR-16B.

So what's missing? At least only some studio Mic's which I hopefully will get in eBay as well.
